Department of Second Language Studies: Visiting Lecturer (IEP)
The Intensive English Program, Department of Second Language Studies at Indiana University invites applications for positions as Visiting Lecturer in ESL from recent graduates (from 2006-2010). One-year non-renewable. Begins August, 2010. 10-month appointment (five two-month sessions) with option of teaching an additional summer session in 2011. IEP courses meet daily. Candidates will teach four courses per session. MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or closely related field required. Must have experience teaching in university-based intensive ESL programs, overseas experience desirable.
We will fill up to three positions.
Applications should include a cover letter with a statement of teaching philosophy, CV, official transcripts, and demonstration of effective teaching of EAP courses (innovative materials, teaching portfolio, or online access to course sites). Please provide three letters of recommendation.
