AZ-TESOL is the Arizona state affiliate
of TESOL,
the international professional organization for educators
in the field of English as a Second or Foreign Language.
Since AZ-TESOL began in 1954 as the Arizona Bilingual
Council, it has provided over five decades of service.

AZ-TESOL's members work with learners of English in
public schools, colleges and universities, and adult
education programs, and also serve as teacher trainers,
administrators, and researchers.
AZ-TESOL is divided into four regions centered in Flagstaff (Northern), Phoenix
(Central), Yuma (Southwest), and Tucson (Southeast). Representatives of each
region serve on AZ-TESOL's Board of Directors, plan local miniconferences, and
provide help with membership and other needs. For more information, select from
the menu at the bottom of this page.
